Q: Do you work with families of first responders?

Yes, we do. We focus on individuals in high-stress roles and those living with first responders. We work with partners and families affected by their loved one’s work. We also have a sister agency that provides proactive workshops, peer support groups, and resources for first responders and their families. We understand the challenges faced by these families because we’re based on three generations of policing. We’ve witnessed and experienced mental and moral injuries, both OSI ( operational & occupational)and the isolation of living with someone we care about while relearning to love ourselves inside & outside of the uniform.

Q: Do you deal with WSIB?

Yes we do provide services for clients under WSIB, however it is to be noted that we do not provide a diagnostic assessment to WSIB, but rather a summary of how treatment is going with a written consent by our clients.

Q: What is trauma recovery check in?

We have noticed that our regular clients may not require a full hour, therefore we offer 30 minute check-ins when needed. Fees are half of our full fee.

Q: Are You Under Any Specific Insurances?

We are now a provider under Telus Health -WSIB. Therapists affiliated with the Ontario College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers (OCSWSSW) do not require co-signatures from Psychologists or Psychiatrists. However, we also understand that some insurance plans do not accept receipts from certain regulatory bodies. Please check your benefit or insurance package before booking your consultation.

Q: Do You Have a Cancellation Policy?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. When cancelling a session under 48 hours of scheduled time/day with no explanation, a full session cost will be charged.
